I had purchased my first Transparent Crystal power cable from TODN for my DAC . The results were so positive the decision was made to purchase an additional power cable for my amp. With each cable upgrade bringing a clear and noticeable improvement to sound quality and let's face it the power cables have quite the visual appeal to boot. Along with my first Transparent Crystal power cable purchased last year, I included a pair of the master speaker cables to try. Never had the chance of hearing them due to so many other cable tryouts at the time . Fast forward one year and decided to finally give them a shot in my system. First impressions out of the box , these cables are quite well made, well built and heavy . No nonsense in outer construction and from recent research suggests this build style aids in providing room for the internal conductors to shine in all parts of the frequency spectrum. To my ear, compared to the likes of AQ Robin Hood Zero, these cables joyfully bring a radiance, flair and vigor to the mix. Not satisfied to play it safe as was my experience with the Robin Hood Zero. The Master Speaker Cables are having fun and at the same time displaying a superb sense of detail retrieval , layer separation with drive and momentum. The sound is so rich in texture and timbre with note contours incredibly presented in vivid realistic detail. The likes I have not heard before in speaker cables sub $10k bracket. The human voice mechanics in particular are given full room to bloom and there are times wherein the line between natural sound and reproduced sound is undeniably blurred. All in all , these speaker cables punch far above their weight, although already considerable, with an emphasis on balance in the musical constituent elements and fidelity to the artistic process. Rare enough to see a speaker cable with such control over all parts of the sound spectrum. Get ready to rediscover your music collection again even better than before.
